A little about me...

Suzanne Wade

Geospatial Analyst

I have had an interest in all things mapping since I was a helicopter instructor pilot in the military. I love the flexibility of a job that can take you from the NW area of Australia mapping benthic organisms with the Australian government, to wildlife surveys for Dept of Fish and Wildlife while monitoring the easements on wind farms in Washington state. I’ve had the opportunity to teach cartography and GIS classes at Central Washington University and partnered with numerous State, Federal, local and nonprofit agencies spatially analyzing and providing maps for watershed hydrological assessments, FEMA grants, biological assessments and Story Maps for wildfire mitigation and hurricane recovery. I have recently really enjoyed adding 3D elements for more detailed land-use planning and development in Australia. Who doesn’t like to map koala habitat?
